Danry Vasquez Lifts WM to Win (4/24 Recaps)

West Michigan followed up a blown lead on Tuesday by dealing a beating on Wednesday as Danry Vasquez drove in four runs to lead West Michigan to a 10-1 lead over Lake County. Despite a huge game by Nick Castellanos for Toledo, the Mud Hens were unable to overcome Durham, falling to the Bulls 9-8. Lakeland had the day off while Erie's game against Bowie was postponed due to rain.

Vasquez had a huge day at the plate, driving in four runs and hitting a triple on a 4-for-5 night. Six West Michigan batters drove in at least one run in the win. Starter Edgar De La Rosa took a no decision after giving up one earned run on four hits in four innings of work. Josh Turley improved his record to 3-1 after not allowing a hit and striking out three in two innings of relief.
