Marcos Mateo earns 4th save for Estrellas.

Marcos Mateo earned his fourth save of the DWL working a 1-2-3 ninth in Estrellas' 5-3 win over Escogido. Kris Bryant was 2-3 but Mesa lost 6-4 to Glendale in the AFL.

Arizona Fall League

Kris Bryant returned to action on Wednesday and delivered a pair of singles in three at-bats. Bryant (.390) also walked, struck out, and stole his third base. Wes Darvill appeared in his ninth game but went 0-4 and was caught stealing after reaching on a fielder's choice in the fourth inning.

Lendy Castillo earned his second hold with a scoreless fifth inning. He walked one and recorded one punchout. Castillo has pitched in nine games (8.1 IP) with a 2.17 ERA despite surrendering nine walks and eight hits. Armando Rivero posted his second straight scoreless appearance working around a hit and a walk in the sixth. Rivero got the first two hitter, one on strikes, but surrendered a double and then a walk before getting a groundout to end the inning.

Mesa fell to 13-10 with a 6-4 loss to Glendale and now hold a 1.5-game lead over Salt River (12-12) in the East Division.

Venezuelan Winter League

Yeiper Castillo (2-1 2.12 ERA) earned his second win with 2.1 innings of scoreless relief in Zulu's 10-6 win over Aragua. He allowed one hit and fanned two, retiring seven of the eight hitter he faced.

Hector Rondon (1-0 0.00) allowed two unearned runs on two hits and and a walk in one-third of an inning in Caracas' 4-1 loss to Caribes. It was the first runs allowed by Rondon in six games.

Dominican Winter League

Junior Lake was 0-3 but knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in Estrellas' 5-3 win over Escogido. Marcos Mateo earned his fourth save getting a pair of ground ball outs and a strikeout in a 1-2-3 ninth.

Frank Batista (Tennessee) pitched in his second game tossing two shutout innings in Aguilas' 8-2 loss to Toros.The right-hander yielded two hits and fanned one.

Mexican Pacific Winter League

Christian Villanueva was used a pinch-hitter in the 7th inning and flied out in Obregon's 12-9 loss to Guasave.

Puerto Rican Winter League

SS Edwin Maysonet entered the game as a defensive replacement in the 9th and didn't bat in Santurce's 3-2 win over Caguas in 10 innings.
